Ingredients

  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 115 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g flour
  • 120 ml milk
  • 100 g pecans
  • 1 g salt
  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Boil the sweet potatoes in a large pot of water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash them in a large bowl.
Step 3
Add the melted butter, brown sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, milk, and salt to the mashed sweet potatoes. Mix until well combined.
Step 4
Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, combine the chopped pecans, flour, and remaining butter. Sprinkle this mixture over the sweet potatoes.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is lightly browned and crispy.

Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
