Ingredients

  • 2 banana leaves
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 milkfish
  • 1 onion
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tomato

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the chopped tomatoes, onions, ginger, salt, and pepper.
Step 3
Stuff the mixture into the cavity of the cleaned milkfish.
Step 4
Place the stuffed milkfish on a baking dish lined with banana leaves (if using).
Step 5
Drizzle soy sauce, lemon juice, and cooking oil over the fish.
Step 6
Cover the fish with aluminum foil.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.
Step 8
Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
