  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 100 grams cheddar cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 240 ml milk
  • 200 grams mushrooms
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 150 grams spinach

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and become tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.

Stir in the grated cheddar cheese.

Add the cooked spinach and mushroom mixture to the egg mixture and stir to combine.
