Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup white rice

Directions

Step 1
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

In a medium pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic to the pot and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Add the rinsed rice to the pot and stir to coat the rice with the garlic and oil.

Pour in the water and add the salt. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.

Remove the pot from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.

Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in the chopped parsley before serving.
