Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 30 g brown sugar
  • 5 g caraway seeds
  • 1 onion
  • 1000 g sauerkraut
  • 500 g sausage
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Place the sauerkraut in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion and sliced apple on top of the sauerkraut.
Step 3
Sprinkle the brown sugar and caraway seeds over the mixture.
Step 4
Add the sausage on top of the sauerkraut mixture.
Step 5
Pour the water over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
Step 6
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the sausage is cooked through and the flavors are well combined.
Step 7
Serve hot and enjoy!
