  • 60 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 g black pepper
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 60 g butter
  • 200 g cheddar cheese
  • 450 g macaroni
  • 500 ml milk
  • 5 g paprika
  • 5 g salt
  • 100 g smoked gouda cheese

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until it forms a paste.

Gradually whisk in the milk and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, smoked gouda cheese, paprika, salt, and black pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well to coat all the pasta.

Transfer the macaroni and cheese to a baking dish. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
