  • 250 grams all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 240 ml boiling water
  • 240 ml buttermilk
  • 75 grams cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 120 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a bundt pan with butter or non-stick spray.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
Step 4
Gradually add the boiling water to the batter, mixing continuously until the batter is smooth. The batter will be thin.

Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Step 7
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
