  • 240 ml beef broth
  • 900 g beef chuck roast
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 60 g tomato paste

Directions

Step 1
Place the beef chuck roast pieces in the slow cooker.
Step 2
Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced jalapeno to the slow cooker.
Step 3
Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Step 4
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender.
Step 5
Shred the beef with two forks and mix well with the sauce in the slow cooker.
Step 6
Serve the carne picada in tacos, burritos, or over rice.
