Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 500 grams broccoli
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 200 grams rice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 500 ml vegetable broth

Directions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan, and sauté until translucent.
Step 3
Add the rice to the pan and stir to coat with the oil, onion, and garlic mixture.
Step 4
Pour in the vegetable broth, and bring to a boil.
Step 5
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Step 6
Add the broccoli florets to the pan, cover again, and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the rice is tender and the broccoli is cooked.
Step 7
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 8
Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.
