Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder together.

In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.
