Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 onion
  • 500 grams sauerkraut
  • 4 sausages
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add sausages and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, then remove and set aside.
Step 3
In the same pan, add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Add sliced apple to the pan and cook for another 3 minutes.
Step 5
Stir in the sauerkraut, caraway seeds, and black pepper.
Step 6
Return the sausages to the pan, nestling them into the sauerkraut mixture.
Step 7
Cover the pan and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
