  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 3 apples
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml milk
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Step 6
Arrange the apple slices on top of the batter in a circular pattern, pressing them slightly into the batter.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Step 8
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
