Ingredients

  • 500 g beef sirloin
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 green onions
  • 30 ml mirin
  • 1 onion
  • 30 ml sake
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 10 g sugar
  • 15 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 2
Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Add the beef slices to the pan and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Step 4
In the same pan, add the onion and bell pepper. Stir-fry until they begin to soften.
Step 5
Add the garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for another minute.
Step 6
Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce mixture over the ingredients. Stir to coat evenly.
Step 7
Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
Step 8
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
