Step 1
Peel the onion and cut off the top. Make cuts from the top down to create petals but don't cut all the way through.

In a bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and cayenne pepper.

In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.

Dip the onion in the flour mixture, coating well. Then dip it in the egg mixture and back into the flour mixture.

Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C (350°F).

Fry the onion until golden brown and crispy, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

For the dipping sauce, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, and Cajun seasoning in a bowl.
