  • 240 ml beef broth
  • 500 g beef chuck roast
  • 300 g broccoli florets
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 30 g cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 15 ml sesame oil
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a slow cooker, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
Step 2
Add the sliced beef chuck roast to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
Step 3
Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until the beef is tender.
Step 4
About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth, then add to the slow cooker and stir well.
Step 5
Add the broccoli florets to the slow cooker, cover, and cook for an additional 30 minutes until the broccoli is tender and the sauce has thickened.
