Ingredients

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 20 g fresh parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 300 g potatoes
  • 500 g salted cod

Directions

Step 1
Soak the salted cod in water for 24 hours, changing the water several times to remove excess salt.
Step 2
Boil the potatoes until tender, then peel and mash them.
Step 3
In a saucepan, simmer the soaked cod with the bay leaf for about 10 minutes. Drain and flake the fish, removing any bones.
Step 4
In a separate pan, heat the olive oil and lightly sauté the minced garlic.
Step 5
In a mixing bowl, combine the flaked cod, mashed potatoes, sautéed garlic, olive oil, and milk. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Step 6
Season with black pepper and stir in the chopped parsley.
Step 7
Serve warm with bread or crackers.
