  • 430 grams all-purpose flour
  • 15 grams baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 400 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 170 grams unsalted butter
  • 10 ml vanilla extract
  • 240 ml whole milk

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Step 4
Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated.
Step 5
Pour batter evenly into the prepared pans.
Step 6
Bake for 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
Step 7
Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
