  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 60 ml lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 120 ml milk
  • 15 g poppy seeds
  • 1 g salt
  • 200 g sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 120 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and poppy seeds.
Step 3
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
Step 4
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 7
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
