  • 480 g all-purpose flour
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 240 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 480 g jelly
  • 240 ml milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 400 g sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 4
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir in the vanilla extract.

Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.

Spread your favorite jelly between the layers of the cooled cake.

Stack the layers, then spread jelly on the top of the cake.

Allow the cake to sit for a few hours or overnight for the flavors to meld before serving.
