Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 500 grams blueberries
  • 60 grams butter
  • 240 grams flour
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 180 ml milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 120 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a large saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 3
Stir in milk just until moistened to form a soft dough.
Step 4
Drop dough by spoonfuls onto the simmering blueberry mixture.
Step 5
Cover the saucepan tightly and simmer for 15 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through and puffed up. Do not lift the lid while simmering.
Step 6
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
