  • 150 grams almonds
  • 5 grams baking soda
  • 30 grams butter
  • 120 ml light corn syrup
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.

Continue to cook the sugar mixture until it reaches 150°C (300°F) on a candy thermometer.
Step 4
Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the butter, baking soda, and almonds.
Step 5
Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly.
Step 6
Allow the brittle to cool completely, then break it into pieces.
