Step 1
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Butter one side of each bread slice.

Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.

Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on the bread in the skillet.

Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.

Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
