Ingredients

  • 10 slices bacon
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 240 ml breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 900 g ground beef
  • 60 ml ketchup
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Step 3
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
Step 4
Lay the bacon slices over the top of the meatloaf, tucking the ends underneath.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
Step 6
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
