Ingredients

  • 450 g beef flank steak
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 120 ml orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 0.5 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 50 g sugar
  • 250 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Slice the beef flank steak into thin strips.
Step 2
Coat the beef strips with cornstarch and set aside.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Fry the beef strips in batches until crispy and golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Step 5
In another pan, combine the orange zest, orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, and red chili flakes. Bring to a boil.
Step 6
Add the fried beef strips to the sauce and toss to coat.
Step 7
Cook until the sauce thickens and the beef is well coated.
Step 8
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
