Ingredients

  • 30 g all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 15 ml soy sauce
  • 480 ml vegetable broth

Directions

Step 1
Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent.
Step 3
Sprinkle flour over the cooked onion and garlic. Stir to combine and cook for about 2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
Step 4
Gradually whisk in the vegetable broth, making sure there are no lumps.
Step 5
Add soy sauce, dried thyme, dried sage, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
Step 6
Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened to your desired consistency.
Step 7
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot.
