  • 2 cups baby spinach leaves
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 0.5 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup pine nuts
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
In a food processor, combine spinach, basil, and garlic.
Step 2
Add pine nuts and Parmesan cheese to the processor.
Step 3
Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped.
Step 4
With the processor running, gradually add olive oil until the mixture is smooth.
Step 5
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 6
Transfer the pesto to a bowl and cover tightly. Refrigerate until ready to use.
