Bringhe is a traditional Filipino rice dish similar to paella. It is often prepared during special occasions and is known for its rich flavors and festive presentation.

Step 1
Rinse the glutinous rice thoroughly and drain. Set aside.
Step 2
In a large pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Saute the chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant.

Add the chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.

Add the sliced bell pepper, carrots, and turmeric powder. Stir well to combine.

Pour in the coconut milk and water. Bring to a boil.

Stir in the rinsed glutinous rice, fish sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Step 7
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer until the rice is fully cooked, about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Step 8
Once the rice is cooked, add the raisins and green peas. Stir to combine and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 9
Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
