  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 50 g butter
  • 200 g cheddar cheese
  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 50 g flour
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 500 ml milk
  • 300 g mixed vegetables
  • 250 g pasta
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and stir continuously for about 2 minutes to form a roux.

Gradually add the milk to the roux, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
Step 5
Add the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to the sauce. Stir well.
Step 6
Add the cubed chicken to the sauce and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 8
Combine the cooked pasta with the chicken and vegetable sauce. Mix well.
Step 9
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
