Ingredients

  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 200 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 240 ml milk
  • 2 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Slice the onions into rings about 1 cm thick. Separate the rings.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3
In another bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk.
Step 4
Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Step 5
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C.
Step 6
Fry the onion rings in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7
Remove the onion rings from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
