Ingredients

  • 340 grams fresh cranberries
  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 60 ml orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Rinse the cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or bruised berries.
Step 2
In a medium saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
Step 3
Add the cranberries to the saucepan and return to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
Step 4
Stir in the orange zest and orange juice. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool to room temperature. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
Step 5
Transfer the cranberry sauce to a serving dish and refrigerate until ready to serve.
