Ingredients

  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 10 grams dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 5 grams salt
  • 4 sausages
  • 15 grams sugar
  • 250 ml warm water

Directions

Step 1
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.

In another bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Divide the dough into four equal parts. Roll each part into a rectangle.

Place a sausage in the middle of each rectangle and roll the dough around it, sealing the edges.

Place the sausage rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
