Ingredients

  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 10 g cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 30 ml honey
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 120 ml water
  • 15 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, 120 ml water, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
Step 2
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
In a small bowl, mix 10 g cornstarch with 15 ml water until smooth.
Step 4
Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Step 5
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency.
Step 6
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce cool. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
