  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 30 ml cold water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 60 ml honey
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 120 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
Step 2
Place chicken thighs in the Instant Pot and pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
Step 3
Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Once the cooking time is up, do a natural release for 5 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.
Step 5
Remove the chicken thighs from the pot and set aside.
Step 6
Turn the Instant Pot to sauté mode. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water to create a slurry.
Step 7
Add the slurry to the sauce in the pot and stir until the sauce thickens.
Step 8
Return chicken thighs to the pot and coat them with the thickened sauce.
Step 9
Serve the chicken thighs with your choice of side, such as rice or vegetables.
