Step 1
Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them well.

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the green beans for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.

Drain the beans and immediately plunge them into ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the oil and garlic. Season with salt and black pepper.
