A delicious and easy-to-make walnut pesto that can be used to enhance the flavor of pasta, sandwiches, or even as a dip.

  • 60 g basil leaves
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 120 ml olive oil
  • 60 g Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 120 g walnuts

Directions

Step 1
Place the walnuts in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
Step 2
Add the basil leaves, grated Parmesan cheese, and garlic cloves to the food processor. Pulse until the mixture is well combined.
Step 3
With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Step 4
Add the fresh lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Pulse a few more times to combine.
Step 5
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Step 6
Transfer the walnut pesto to a jar or container and store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
