  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
In a medium bowl, whisk together minced garlic, egg yolk, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
Step 2
Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while continuously whisking to emulsify the mixture. The aioli should thicken as you add the oil.
Step 3
Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and whisk until fully incorporated.
Step 4
Transfer the aioli to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
