  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 120 grams breadcrumbs
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 15 grams cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 120 ml ketchup
  • 60 ml milk
  • 1 onion
  • 350 grams pineapple chunks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 30 ml vinegar
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, salt, and black pepper.
Step 3
Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
Step 4
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Step 5
In a saucepan, combine the pineapple chunks, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, and ketchup. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 6
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add this mixture to the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens.
Step 7
Add the cooked meatballs to the saucepan and stir to coat them evenly with the sauce.
Step 8
Simmer for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Step 9
Serve the Hawaiian meatballs over rice or noodles, garnished with additional pineapple chunks if desired.
