Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).

In a large saucepan, combine water, sugar, and cream of tartar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Break the Ritz crackers roughly into the pie crust to resemble apple slices.
Step 4
Pour the syrup mixture over the crackers, then drizzle with lemon juice and dot with butter. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon.

Place the second pie crust over the filling, seal the edges, and cut several slits on top to allow steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
