Ingredients

  • 800 grams black beans
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 800 grams diced tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 700 grams ground beef
  • 800 grams kidney beans
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 470 ml tomato sauce

Directions

Step 1
In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
Step 3
Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with green chilies, kidney beans, and black beans.
Step 4
Add the chili powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
Step 5
Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Step 6
Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onions.
