Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 500 grams Brussels sprouts
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Step 2
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves.
Step 3
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Brussels sprouts and cook for 10 minutes until tender.
Step 4
Drain the Brussels sprouts and let them cool slightly.
Step 5
Place the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use the bottom of a glass or a masher to gently smash each sprout.
Step 6
Drizzle the smashed Brussels sprouts with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until they are crispy and golden brown.
Step 8
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
