Ingredients

  • 1 cup banana blossoms
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp peppercorns
  • 2 kg pig's feet
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 4 cups water

Directions

Step 1
Clean the pig's feet thoroughly and cut them into serving pieces.
Step 2
In a large pot, combine the pig's feet, vinegar, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, peppercorns, and bay leaves.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours or until the pig's feet are tender.
Step 4
Add the dried banana blossoms and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.
Step 5
Season with salt to taste.
Step 6
Serve hot with steamed rice.
