  • 60 grams chopped nuts
  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 100 grams light brown sugar
  • 60 ml light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 170 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 226 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Step 2
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Step 3
Add the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt to the saucepan.
Step 4
Stir constantly until the mixture reaches 150°C on a candy thermometer.
Step 5
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 6
Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
Step 7
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let sit for a minute to melt.
Step 8
Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Step 9
Allow the toffee to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
