  • 340 grams dark chocolate chips
  • 1.5 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • 480 grams powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 396 grams sweetened condensed milk

Directions

Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract. Mix until a dough forms.
Step 2
Roll the dough into small balls and flatten them into patties. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 3
Freeze the patties for 15 minutes to firm up.
Step 4
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips and shortening in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
Step 5
Dip each patty into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat it completely. Place the coated patties back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 6
Allow the chocolate to set, then store the peppermint patties in an airtight container.
