  • 1000 g apples
  • 500 g brown sugar
  • 10 g ground cinnamon
  • 5 g ground cloves
  • 10 g ground ginger
  • 500 g onions
  • 250 g raisins
  • 10 g salt
  • 500 ml white wine vinegar

Directions

Step 1
In a large pot, combine the chopped apples, onions, and raisins.
Step 2
Add the brown sugar, white wine vinegar, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and salt.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Continue to simmer until the mixture thickens and reaches a chutney-like consistency.
Step 5
Let the chutney cool, then transfer it to sterilized jars and seal.
Step 6
Store in a cool, dark place and refrigerate after opening.
