  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 300 grams broccoli florets
  • 30 grams butter
  • 2 carrots
  • 300 grams cauliflower florets
  • 150 grams green beans
  • 100 milliliters heavy cream
  • 500 milliliters milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 150 grams peas
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Steam the carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, and peas until tender but still crisp. Set aside.
Step 2
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the flour to the melted butter and stir constantly for about 2 minutes to create a roux.

Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps.

Continue to cook and stir until the sauce thickens and begins to boil.
