  • 12 slices bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.

Arrange the bread slices in the baking dish in a single layer.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggnog, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

Pour the eggnog mixture evenly over the bread slices, making sure all the bread is soaked.

Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Remove the plastic wrap and bake the French toast in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
