  • 30 g flour
  • 475 g gooseberries
  • 2 pastry
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 150 g sugar

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large bowl, combine the gooseberries, sugar, flour, and salt. Mix well to ensure the berries are evenly coated.

Line a 9-inch pie dish with one of the pie crusts. Pour the gooseberry mixture into the crust and dot with pieces of butter.
Step 4
Cover with the second pie crust. Trim any excess dough and crimp the edges to seal. Cut a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
