Directions
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine 200g of sugar, 30g of cornstarch, and a pinch of salt.

Gradually stir in 480ml of milk until smooth.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and boils. Boil for 1 minute.

Remove from heat and gradually stir half of the hot mixture into the 3 beaten egg yolks.

Return the egg yolk mixture to the saucepan and cook for 2 more minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and stir in 30g of unsweetened chocolate, 15g of butter, and 5ml of vanilla extract until smooth.

Pour the filling into the baked pie crust.

In a mixing bowl, beat the 3 egg whites until soft peaks form.

Gradually add 50g of sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
