Directions
Step 1
Chop the tomatoes and crush the garlic cloves.
Step 2
In a pot, heat the oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida. Let them splutter.
Step 3
Add curry leaves and crushed garlic cloves. Sauté for a few seconds.
Step 4
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
Step 5
Add turmeric powder, black pepper, salt, and tamarind pulp. Mix well.
Step 6
Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Step 7
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
