Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Step 4
Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried basil into the ground beef. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 5
In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the parmesan cheese until well combined.
Step 6
Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place a layer of lasagna noodles on top.
Step 7
Spread 1/3 of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles. Top with 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese and 1/3 of the remaining meat sauce.
Step 8
Repeat the layers twice more, ending with a layer of meat sauce. Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top.
Step 9
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
Step 10
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.
